Time goes by so quickly, it feels like only last week that Jessica called me announcing her engagement to Erin and we planned their engagement session by the Petaluma River Waterfront at the Foundry Wharf. And now here I am, just home from Seattle, going through the pictures from their beautiful wedding day.
I think it should be noted that Erin and Jessica opted for the non-traditional wedding route. In keeping with their individualism, they went on a two-week road trip through the Pacific Northwest and Sierra Nevada mountains in a fire red Mustang convertible, stopping briefly in South Lake Tahoe for a private ceremony overlooking Emerald Bay. Jessica wore her favourite cowboy boots and cut off shorts, and she looked smoking hot.
A few weeks later, Jessica and Erin hosted a reception with family and close friends at their residence in North Admiral, in Western Seattle. Many of the guests were from the Bay Area and even as far north as Anchorage, where the groom grew up and his mother still lives. The day was gorgeous, the sun was out and fresh sunflowers and snapdragons decorated the backyard. The couple didn’t want to deal with the fuss of a fancy dinner; instead they served an array of hors d’oeuvres and a steady supply of bubbly and Bullet Whiskey (their favourite).
Thanks for a great party. It was such an honor to capture your special day. Jessica and Erin, you two rock!
